Chongqing Shengde Motorcycle Parts Co., Ltd.

We started as a component workshop supplying local engine assemblers and grew into a vertically integrated clutch manufacturer. Today our plant covers material inspection, forging and blanking, CNC machining, heat treatment, friction-material bonding, precision measurement, assembly and 100% end-of-line testing — all in one facility in Chongqing, China's largest motorcycle manufacturing cluster.

That integration is deliberate. When a customer reports a slipping clutch or a warranty claim, we can trace it to a steel lot, a heat-treatment batch or a lining cure cycle and fix the root cause, rather than passing the problem back to a supplier. It is also why our repeat-order lead times stay between 15 and 25 days.

Most of our production is exported. We work with importers, motorcycle parts distributors, repair chains and OEM engine programmes across Africa, Latin America, South-East Asia and the Middle East — supplying under neutral packing or our customers' own brands.

Milestones

  1. 2006

    Workshop founded

    Started producing friction discs and steel plates for local Chongqing engine assemblers.

  2. 2011

    Integrated manufacturing

    Added in-house heat treatment and CNC machining, bringing the whole plate process under our own control.

  3. 2015

    First exports

    Began direct export programmes to West Africa and South America.

  4. 2019

    Clutch assemblies

    Launched complete pre-assembled and dyno-tested clutch assemblies for CG and CB engine families.

  5. 2023

    Scooter & ATV lines

    Extended the range to GY6 centrifugal clutches and heavy-duty ATV/UTV kits.

Manufacturing capabilities

From raw steel to a sealed, tested clutch kit

Six integrated production stages under one roof keep quality decisions local and lead times short.

  1. 01

    Material inspection

    Incoming steel and alloy batches are verified against mill certificates; hardness and chemistry are re-checked before release to production.

  2. 02

    Forging & blanking

    Precision blanking of 65Mn steel and hot forging of alloy hubs give a dense grain structure with predictable fatigue behaviour.

  3. 03

    CNC machining

    Turning, broaching, slotting and grinding on CNC centres produce splines, slots and faces within ±0.02 mm.

  4. 04

    Heat treatment

    Sealed-furnace carburising for hubs, quench-and-temper for plates; hardness and case depth are logged per batch.

  5. 05

    Friction bonding & curing

    Friction material is bonded, cured and ground to thickness, then friction coefficient is sampled from every production lot.

  6. 06

    Assembly & 100 % testing

    Kits are assembled, torque-tested on dynamometers, air-tightness checked and packed with batch traceability labels.

  • Incoming material control

    Zero release without hardness, dimension and chemistry verification against mill certificates.

  • In-process inspection

    First-article approval plus hourly patrol checks on thickness, flatness, tooth profile and surface finish.

  • Final performance testing

    Torque capacity, slippage and engagement RPM verified on dynamometers; covers air-tightness tested at 0.2 MPa.

  • Batch traceability

    Each set carries a batch code linking back to steel lot, heat-treatment record and inspector. Claims are answered with data.
